MEET THE TEAM
HEAD COACH

Kelvin Orsi
With over 28 years of coaching experience, Kelvin has built an impressive international coaching career across Australia, the USA, England, and the Caribbean.
From coaching at the world-renowned Evert Tennis Academy in Florida to working with ATP and WTA professionals, travelling with top junior players on the ITF circuit, and coaching a Top 100 ATP player, Kelvin brings a wealth of high-performance experience to the court. He has also led programs at the prestigious Chelsea Harbour Club in London and the Pat Cash Tennis Academy in the Caribbean.
In 2017, Kelvin returned to Australia and founded KO Tennis at Mudgeeraba Tennis Club, where he continues to help players reach their full potential through strong relationships, clear communication, and a passionate, goal-focused approach to development.

Tom Morgan
Coach
Tom brings more than 40 years of coaching experience to KO Tennis and holds both LTA Level 3 and USTA Professional qualifications. Alongside his coaching career, Tom has enjoyed strong playing success, including becoming a Gold Coast Seniors Singles and Men’s Doubles Champion. Known for his positive, patient, and successful coaching style, Tom is passionate about helping every player reach their highest potential.

Lucas Mascarenhas
Coach
Originally from Brazil, Lucas played competitive junior tennis from ages 8 to 17 before beginning his coaching journey in Australia in 2023. With a supportive, motivating, and patient coaching style, he creates a positive environment where players can develop confidence and consistency. Lucas especially enjoys the moment when something finally “clicks” for a player and their confidence starts to shine through.

Luka Azirovic
Coach
Luka has been coaching for over three years and has played competitive tennis for more than 10 years, including competing in national level tournaments. His coaching approach is technical, supportive, and motivating, helping players develop both their skills and confidence on court. Luka’s favourite part of coaching is seeing the excitement and happiness players feel as they improve.

Mateo Azirovic
Coach
Mateo has been coaching for over three years and has competed in tennis for the past decade, pursuing the sport at a high level with ambitions of playing professionally. His coaching style is energetic, motivating, and fun, with a strong focus on bringing out the best in every player. Mateo loves helping students grow in confidence and seeing their improvement over time.

Jake Thomas
Coach
Jake has been coaching for around four years and has been passionate about tennis since first picking up a racquet at just four years old. His coaching style combines game-based learning with strong technical foundations, creating sessions that are engaging, enjoyable, and development-focused. Jake enjoys working with new students and helping players grow their love for the game.
